Yesterday Team Canvas and I released a new version of our iOS drawing app, DrawQuest. DrawQuest 3.0 adds support for iPhone and iPod touch, and introduces many new features—most notably the ability for users to create their own Quests.

We made DrawQuest to reintroduce drawing and creative expression into people’s daily lives, after observing how some users struggled with our previous product’s remix tool. The underlying problem ended up being human and not technological—people simply weren’t confident in their creative talent and ability to participate in the community.

DrawQuest seeks to address that by helping you work past the “blank sheet of paper” problem by providing a daily drawing prompt and template to start from, so you can focus on making something awesome rather than agonizing over what to make and where to begin.

I couldn’t be more thrilled with how this new version turned out. I love the new iOS 7 inspired design, redesigned drawing tool, and most of all user-created Quests. Until yesterday, almost every Quest was conceived and drawn in-house, but now we’ve opened up the platform to the immensely talented DrawQuest community and can’t wait to see what they’ll do with it.

You can download DrawQuest for free on iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad by clicking here.
