• I'm doing a simple addition calculator using forms, and the variable $firstNum and $secondNum types are strings when I checked with the gettype() function, but echo $firstNum + $secondNum, calculates everything perfectly. 20 + 20 should be 2020, since it's a string, but it gives me 40 as expected.
